As a performing artist and choreographer I work to develop & bring innovative shapes, ideas, movements to Flamenco
Dance Theatre, transforming them with references to contemporary and folkloric formats.
My works are usually experimental and original, often explosive, yet elegant. I embrace collaborating with other professional
artists pushing the boundaries of Flamenco fusion through performance, often by improvisation.
I am a Flamenco artist representing my Spanish cultural art form continuing in the footsteps of my artistic family in Granada
and I bring a contemporary Australian edge, often delving into thought & sensory provoking works.
My Flamenco works and performances explore ones spirituality and self through the Music & Dance, - A spirit overtakes your
senses and you become one with the music and the song.... I can best describe the feeling of this as another level of
existence, an artistic existence which results in a unique individual expressive freedom. This expressive freedom is not just
related to movement, but to seeing and hearing clearer, a complete awareness of the world, while being detached
momentarily from it ..
Flamenco is not a rushed education therefore I encourage all my students who wish to reach an advanced level in this form
to master patience and possess humility, it is then 'Arte' will come'....
I have actively been a teacher for over 20 years. I offer my dedicated assistance where I am able to make a contribution in the
