This year in 2008 there are two exciting
shows, at The Old Manly Boat shed
and The Avalon RSL.
The Boatshed performance is tailored
for Flamenco Music lovers as it
features the serene Guitar works of
both talented musicians Aloysius
Leeson and David Holberton whom are
accompanied by Flamenco
Percussionist Adrian van Nunen and
the soulful Flamenco Singer Mari
Olivares.
The Dancers performing this year
include some of Australia's finest
young soloists including Marina's
leading students forming 'Flamenco
Del Mar'.
In both performances Professional
soloists Roshanne Wijeyeratne and
international Maestro Antonio Vargas
(also known from the Movie Strictly
Ballroom as the father teaching
Mercurio how to pasa doble!) grace the
stage with their passion, super fast
footwook, and stamina.
The Avalon RSL show includes all the
above and Tamayo's local Northern
Beaches Flamenco Dance students
where Light Tapas is also included.

PRODUCER
In line with her passion Marina Produces and co
-produces several productions.
Some recent works include the first Australian
Flamenco Forum with invited guest Antonio
Vargas in 2000 held at The Bangarra Dance
Theatre. This event provided a rare opportunity for
students and Professionals alike to perform and
study under the direction of Antonio Vargas.
During that same year Marina produced the first
National Master class with Belén Fernandez 2000
at the Sydney Dance Company Studios Walsh
Bay, giving an opportunity to Advanced and
Professional dancers in Australia to study with
one of Spain's great international performers
within a structured and professional forum. Marina
produces small to large events for Community
festivals, private functions, special events and the
corporate sector.
Marina's most recent production 'Tablao
Flamenco' June 2007 by Flamenco del Mar , was
an evening of performance by Tamayo's
performing troupe, which consists of students &
international guests performing. The show was a
professional platform for students to perform with
international artists with professional live music.
